Merseyside Derby Set for February at Goodison Park

The Merseyside derby between Everton and Liverpool has been rescheduled for Wednesday, February 12 at 19:30 GMT. This highly anticipated match was originally set for December 7 but was postponed due to Storm Darragh. It will mark the last derby at Goodison Park before Everton transitions to their new stadium for the 2025/26 season. Currently, Everton sits 16th in the Premier League table, having struggled with only one win in their last 11 matches. The club will be under the management of David Moyes, who has returned after nearly 12 years following the dismissal of Sean Dyche on January 9.

Liverpool, on the other hand, is enjoying a strong season, leading the Premier League with 46 points from 19 games. They are six points ahead of Arsenal and have a game in hand, having secured 14 victories so far this season. The Reds will be looking to maintain their form as they approach this crucial derby.

In other Premier League action, Brentford is set to face Manchester City on January 14. Manchester City aims to build on their recent success, having won three consecutive matches after a challenging stretch where they managed only one win in 13 games. Brentford currently occupies the 11th position in the standings, trailing Manchester City by seven points.
