Wolverhampton, second to last in the Premier League, has appointed Portuguese coach Vitor Pereira as their new manager, effective Sunday against Leicester. Pereira, 56, replaces Gary O'Neil after a disappointing run of eleven defeats in sixteen matches. The club expressed gratitude for Pereira's willingness to take on this challenge, believing he can steer them back on track. Wolverhampton paid around one million euros to Al-Shabab for Pereira's release from his contract.
