India`s women`s U-19 cricket team kicked off their title defense in the T20 World Cup with an impressive 9-wicket victory over West Indies. The match showcased the brilliance of left-arm spinners Parunika Sisodia and Aayushi Shukla, who took 3/7 and 2/6 respectively, alongside pacer VJ Joshitha, who also claimed 2/6. The West Indies batting lineup crumbled under pressure, bowled out for a mere 34 runs in just 13.2 overs.

Chasing a modest target, India made quick work of the innings, reaching 35 runs in just 4.2 overs, losing only one wicket in the process. This commanding win places India in a strong position as they aim to retain their championship title.
