Yashasvi Jaiswal joins India`s squad for ICC Champions Trophy 2025, showcasing impressive recent performances and records.

Yashasvi Jaiswal has received his first ODI call-up as part of the Indian cricket team for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The announcement includes a 15-member squad featuring prominent players such as Rohit Sharma as captain and Shubman Gill as vice-captain. Other notable names include Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, and KL Rahul, who will serve as wicket-keeper.

India is set to host England for a three-match ODI series in February, with matches scheduled for the 6th, 9th, and 12th. Following this series, the Champions Trophy will take place from February 19 to March 9, where India will compete in Group A alongside Pakistan, Bangladesh, and New Zealand. The team`s first match in the tournament will be against Bangladesh on February 20, followed by encounters with Pakistan and New Zealand.

Jaiswal`s inclusion in the squad comes on the back of impressive performances in recent matches. He has played 19 Test matches and 23 T20Is for India, showcasing his talent and potential. His standout performance in the Border Gavaskar Trophy against Australia, where he was the leading run-scorer with 391 runs, has solidified his place in the team. In 2024, Jaiswal scored 1478 runs in Tests, averaging 54.74, and set a world record for the most sixes in a calendar year with 36 sixes.
