Paris2024: D'Tigress to face Germany, Puerto Rico

The Nigeria women basketball team D'Tigress will face Germany and Puerto Rico as part of their preparation towards the 2024 summer olympics in Paris.

According to the NBBF, D’Tigress will begin camping in Abuja before heading to France, the venue of the games, to continue their readiness.


Their first test comes on July 19 when they face Germany at the Uber Arena in Berlin during the Basketball Festival.

Two days later, on July 21, they’ll take on Puerto Rico in a friendly match in France.

In Paris, D’Tigress will battle for a quarter-finals spot in Group B alongside powerhouses Australia, Canada and host nation France.


The Women’s Basketball competition at the Paris Olympics runs from July 28 to August 11 at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy (Decathlon Arena). #paris2024 #olympics
