Wojciech Szczesny announces retirement

Wojciech Szczesny, 34, announced on Tuesday that he has hung up his boots as a professional football player. A few weeks earlier, he had left Serie A team Juventus by mutual consent.

Szczesny had one year remaining on his deal after seven seasons at Juventus. He had been linked to a transfer to Al-Nassr, a Saudi Pro League team, and to fellow Italian team Monza.
