In a thrilling showdown at the Major League Pickleball (MLP) events in San Clemente, the Brooklyn Pickleball Team showcased their tenacity by overcoming the formidable Los Angeles Mad Drops. Despite missing their regular male starters, Brooklyn`s AJ Koller and Rafa Hewett stepped up as on-site alternates, delivering a performance that will be remembered. Koller, in particular, shone brightly alongside Rachel Rohrabacher in mixed doubles, defeating the talented duo of Catherine Parenteau and Quang Duong, sealing a hard-fought victory for Brooklyn.

The Los Angeles Mad Drops, who entered the match riding a seven-game winning streak, faced unexpected challenges as Hunter Johnson and Quang Duong struggled in men’s doubles against the dynamic pairings of Blaine Hovenier/Ryan Fu and Koller/Hewett. With a record of 11-5 and 30 points, the Mad Drops will be eager to rebound in their upcoming clash against Utah.

Meanwhile, the Phoenix Flames and SoCal Hard Eights are set to ignite the court in Saturday Night Pickleball.
