Padel`s Meteoric Rise in the U.S. Sparks Excitement

Padel`s rapid growth in the U.S. is fueled by celebrity endorsements and new facilities, promising an exciting future.

Padel is surging in popularity across the United States, with a recent study from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications Sports Media Center, in collaboration with Padel 22, revealing a staggering increase in courts—from fewer than 30 in 2020 to over 600 in 2024. The ambitious goal of 30,000 courts by 2030 showcases the sport`s explosive growth trajectory.

Celebrity endorsements from the likes of Eva Longoria and Derek Jeter are propelling Padel into the limelight, enhancing its visibility and credibility among sports enthusiasts. Streaming platforms, including ESPN, have played a pivotal role in broadcasting events such as Premier Padel and the Hexagon Cup, captivating millions and drawing in a younger demographic eager for fresh athletic experiences.

In a testament to this burgeoning interest, a new indoor facility named Padel Pals is set to open in Mesa, Arizona, in fall 2025. This state-of-the-art venue will feature seven indoor Padel courts, a pickleball court, and amenities like a pro store and Kid`s Zone, designed to cultivate community and competitive spirit. Founders, including professional boxer Oscar Valdez, are committed to creating an inclusive space for players of all skill levels.

As anticipation builds, an exhibition featuring Ivan Lendl and Tyson McGuffin is scheduled for July 19 at the Serve & Smash Padel and Pickleball Club in Branford, Connecticut, ahead of its grand opening on August 15, signaling a vibrant future for Padel in the U.S. For more insights, check out Padel and Padel news.
