Scotland miss out on world bronze against Italy

Scotland lost to Italy in the bronze-medal match, capping up a miserable World Curling Championship.

The reigning champions were defeated by Canada in a "frustrating" semifinal on Saturday, and they will not even be leaving Switzerland with a podium finish.

After missing a draw shot to win, Bruce Mouat's rink trailed 6-3 entering the tenth end, which gave Italy the opportunity to force an extra end.
