Team U.S. excelled at the 2025 Invictus Games, with Carlos Valerio earning a bronze medal in adaptive sports.

Team U.S. made a remarkable impact at the 2025 Invictus Games held in Vancouver and Whistler, Canada, showcasing the resilience and talent of 50 active-duty military and veterans. Competing against 500 athletes from 25 countries, Team U.S. secured medals in nine of the 11 events, highlighting their prowess in adaptive sports.

Among the standout athletes was Carlos Valerio, a retired Navy hospital corpsman and current Army civilian, who participated in his second Invictus Games. Valerio competed in the biathlon and wheelchair basketball, earning a bronze medal as part of the mixed-nation Team Unconquered, marking a historic achievement as the first such team to medal at the games.

For the first time, the Invictus Games featured winter-specific events, including six adaptive winter sports, further expanding the scope of competition. Prince Harry attended the games, although Meghan Markle was unable to join him due to their children`s illness.
