Malaysia to redesign Olympic kit

After fans blasted the costumes as "ugly" and "cheap looking," Malaysian officials decided on Friday to modify a portion of the nation's Olympic gear for the games in Paris next month.



When the Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) debuted the gold-themed costumes with a tiger-stripe design last weekend, controversy broke out.

Claimed to represent Malaysia's “unwavering quest for gold medals,” the outfits, which included tracksuits, polo shirts, and T-shirts, were swiftly mocked by the general public.
