Remo Stars have etched their name in the annals of Nigerian football by clinching their first-ever Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title. The decisive moment came on April 27, 2025, when Olamilekan Adebayo scored the lone goal against Niger Tornadoes in the 84th minute, sealing a 1-0 victory. This triumph propelled Remo Stars to a remarkable 68 points from 35 matches, finishing 10 points clear of their nearest competitors, Rivers United.

This victory is particularly significant as it marks the first time a South West club has won the NPFL since Julius Berger in 2000, highlighting a new era for privately-owned clubs in Nigeria. With this championship, Remo Stars will represent Nigeria in the prestigious CAF Champions League next year, showcasing their growth and ambition on the continental stage.

In a show of support, Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen celebrated the team`s success by gifting them ₦10 million. Meanwhile, in other NPFL action, Akwa United secured a 2-1 victory over Ikorodu City in match day 35, further intensifying the competition in the league.
