Remo Stars are currently leading the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title race with an impressive eight-point advantage. Recent matches have showcased intense competition, including a goalless draw between Sunshine Stars and Heartland, and another stalemate between Kano Pillars and Bendel Insurance. Kwara United secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Nasarawa United, while Bayelsa United triumphed 1-0 against Rivers United. Abia Warriors delivered a solid performance, defeating Lobi Stars 2-0.

In a thrilling encounter, El Kanemi Warriors and Shooting Stars ended in a 2-2 draw, while Akwa United continued their resurgence with a 2-0 win over Niger Tornadoes. Remo Stars also added to their tally with a convincing 2-0 victory against Enyimba.

A. Yusuf from Nasarawa United leads the NPFL top scorers chart with 14 goals, followed by R. Ali of Kano Pillars with 11 goals, and Sunday Megwo of Abia Warriors with 10 goals.
