Matchday 28 of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) delivered thrilling action, highlighted by several draws. Bayelsa United faced Heartland, ending in a 1-1 stalemate. Issac Yusuf put Bayelsa ahead in the 54th minute, but Suraj Lawal equalized for Heartland just six minutes later.

Rangers International also drew 1-1 with Akwa United, showcasing a resilient performance as Rangers came from behind to level the score. Nasarawa United matched Sunshine Stars in another 1-1 draw after relinquishing an early lead.

In contrasting results, Kwara United secured a solid 2-0 victory over Kano Pillars, with goals from Wasiu Alalade and Wasiu Jimoh. Enyimba clinched a narrow 1-0 win against El Kanemi Warriors, thanks to a decisive strike by Joseph Atule. Plateau United also triumphed with a 1-0 victory over Abia Warriors, courtesy of a penalty from Emmanuel Doyeni.
