Abia Warriors defeated Enugu Rangers, while Rivers United and Shooting Stars faced draws in the NPFL.

Abia Warriors secured a crucial 1-0 victory over defending champions Enugu Rangers in Umuahia, with Ijeoma DeSouza netting the decisive goal in the 43rd minute. This result propelled Abia Warriors to fourth place in the Nigeria Premier Football League standings, while Enugu Rangers slipped to sixth with 38 points.

Rivers United, currently in third place, faced a disappointing 1-1 draw against Akwa United. Paschal Onunze opened the scoring for Rivers United early in the 9th minute, but Mare Abson equalized for Akwa United in the 57th minute, leaving Rivers United nine points adrift of league leaders Remo Stars.

Shooting Stars, holding the second position, were held to a thrilling 2-2 draw by Lobi Stars. Joshua Akpan`s early goal was countered by a brace from Ossy Martins, while Sodiq Ibrahim managed to level the score for Shooting Stars in the 56th minute.

Other notable results included a goalless draw between El Kanemi and Bendel Insurance, a 2-2 stalemate between Bayelsa United and Nasarawa United, and a 2-1 victory for Niger Tornadoes against Heartland. The current standings see Remo Stars leading with 48 points, followed by Shooting Stars with 40 points. Upcoming matches will see Remo Stars host Kwara United and Katsina United face Enyimba FC.
