Samoa wins the 2025 PacificAus Netball Series, defeating Scotland, while Tonga secures third place against Fiji.

Samoa has clinched the 2025 PacificAus Netball Series title, marking their first championship win in five years. In a nail-biting final, Tifa Moana led her team to a 54-52 victory over Scotland, finishing the tournament unbeaten. Head coach Natalie Mathews expressed immense pride in her team`s performance, stating, “It’s been a dream week so far, and I’m still processing what’s going on, but I am incredibly proud of the girls’ performance on and off the court.”

Tonga Tala also showcased their skills, securing third place by defeating the Fiji Pearls 69-51. Their campaign was impressive, featuring victories over Papua New Guinea (69-37) and Fiji (71-47). Despite their strong showing, Tala narrowly missed a spot in the final after close losses to First Nations Australia (58-56), Samoa (55-52), and Scotland (57-5.

Both Samoa and Tonga are now focused on climbing the world rankings as they aim for qualification in the upcoming Commonwealth Games in 2026. This tournament has not only highlighted the talent within these teams but also set the stage for future competitions.
