For the Spurs, De`Aaron Fox led the team with 23 points following his recent trade acquisition. Victor Wembanyama had a notable performance, scoring 17 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. Wembanyama also made NBA history by recording a block in his 85th consecutive game, surpassing Hakeem Olajuwon`s record and marking the fifth-longest streak in NBA history.
The Celtics dominated early, establishing a 26-15 lead in the first quarter, which they extended to 37-19 by the end of the period. Although the Spurs attempted a comeback with a 13-6 run to start the second half, the Celtics maintained control, responding with a decisive 13-5 run in the fourth quarter to seal the victory. The Spurs, now 12th in the Western Conference with a 23-28 record, will face the Phoenix Suns next on February 20.
