Victor Wembanyama earns his first NBA All-Star selection, joining an elite group of players.

Victor Wembanyama has officially been selected as an NBA All-Star for the first time, marking a significant milestone in his burgeoning career. The San Antonio Spurs star joins five other first-time selections, including Cade Cunningham, Evan Mobley, Tyler Herro, Alperen Sengun, and Jalen Williams. This achievement places Wembanyama among an elite group, as he becomes only the fourth Spurs player to earn an All-Star nod in his first or second season, following in the footsteps of legends like Alvin Robertson, David Robinson, and Tim Duncan.

The All-Star reserves were chosen by NBA coaches, complementing the starters determined through a blend of fan, media, and player voting. From the Eastern Conference, notable reserves include Boston`s Jaylen Brown, Indiana`s Pascal Siakam, and Cleveland`s Darius Garland. The Western Conference reserves feature Wembanyama alongside Minnesota`s Anthony Edwards, Los Angeles Lakers` Anthony Davis, and James Harden of the Los Angeles Clippers, among others.

This year`s NBA All-Star Game introduces an innovative format, featuring three teams of eight players each, drafted by TNT personalities and former NBA greats Shaquille O`Neal, Charles Barkley, and Kenny Smith. Additionally, a four-team tournament will showcase the remaining squad comprised of NBA rookies and second-year players from the Rising Stars event, promising an exciting and fresh take on the All-Star festivities.
