Embiid signs Philadelphia 76ers contract extension

Center Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers have agreed to a contract extension.
According to US media, the 30-year-old Cameroonian player has signed a new contract worth $193 million (£145 million) that would last for the maximum three years.
After joining the Sixers at the 2014 NBA Draft, the 2023 NBA Most Valuable Player is now hoping to lead them to their first championship since 1983.
