Thompson out of hospital after cardiac arrest

BJ Thompson, a defensive lineman with the Kansas City Chiefs, had a seizure and went into cardiac arrest at a team meeting. He was later released from the hospital.

The Chiefs personnel performed CPR on Thompson, 25, before he was sent to the hospital on Thursday.

"The family thanks everyone for their prayers and want to especially thank the Chiefs medical and training staff for their rapid response and professionalism throughout this situation," stated agent Chris Turnage.
