Mavericks beat Timberwolves to reach NBA Finals

Following their 4-1 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference finals, the Dallas Mavericks will take on the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals.

In game five in Minnesota, Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving combined for 36 points apiece to lead the Mavericks to a decisive 124-103 victory.

With 20 points in the first quarter, Slovenian sensation Doncic, 25, set the tone. By the time the half, Dallas had built a commanding 69-40 advantage, and the Timberwolves were unable to rally.
