Kyle Larson`s dominant win at Kansas solidifies his lead in the NASCAR Cup Series, showcasing his incredible performance this season.

Kyle Larson showcased an exceptional performance at the AdventHealth 400, dominating the NASCAR Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway on May 11, 2025. Starting from pole position, Larson led a staggering 221 of the 267 laps and swept all three stages, marking his third victory of the season. Driving the No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet, Larson faced a late scare with a suspected tire issue on the final lap but managed to fend off Christopher Bell, finishing just 0.712 seconds ahead.

The race concluded with a competitive top ten, featuring Christopher Bell in second place, followed by Ryan Blaney, Chase Briscoe, and Alex Bowman rounding out the top five. Josh Berry, Ryan Preece, Chris Buescher, Joey Logano, and John Hunter Nemechek completed the top ten finishers. Larson`s victory, combined with a disappointing 24th-place finish by previous points leader William Byron, propelled him to the top of the NASCAR Cup Series regular season standings, now holding a 35-point lead over Byron.

With an impressive total of 817 laps led this season—more than double that of the next closest driver—and eight stage wins, Larson is establishing himself as a formidable contender. The next event on the NASCAR Cup Series calendar is the non-points NASCAR All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway.
