Dunlop`s controversial NW200 win ignites debate, while Smiley shines in BTCC practice sessions at Brands Hatch.

Michael Dunlop has been declared the victor of the 2025 North West 200 (NW20 Superbike race, a result that has sparked considerable controversy. The race began with Davey Todd taking an early lead into York Corner, closely followed by Peter Hickman and Dean Harrison. However, the dynamics shifted dramatically at the Magherabuoy Chicane and Church Corner, where several top riders faced incidents that altered the race`s outcome.

As the race unfolded, Hickman managed to secure second place behind Todd, while Alastair Seeley climbed to third. The unexpected twists and turns kept fans on the edge of their seats, especially as Dunlop`s victory came amidst the chaos.

In the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), Chris Smiley showcased his prowess by topping the timesheets in Free Practice 2 at Brands Hatch Indy Circuit with a remarkable lap of 46.725 seconds. Earlier, Charles Rainford had led Free Practice 1, setting the stage for an intense competition as drivers vie for top standings in the ongoing championship.
