Auer Triumphs in DTM Season Opener at Oschersleben

Lucas Auer`s victory at Oschersleben highlights the thrilling start of the 2025 DTM season, with significant performances across motorsports.

Lucas Auer showcased an outstanding performance in the opening race of the 2025 DTM season at Oschersleben, clinching victory with a commanding 0.641-second lead over Jordan Pepper in a Grasser-Lamborghini and Maro Engel in a Mercedes. Auer`s flawless execution under pressure in the closing laps solidified his dominance, marking a strong start to the season.

Ben Doerr narrowly missed the top 10, finishing 11th, while his teammate Timo Glock struggled, ending the race in 20th. Arjun Maini emerged as the best-placed HRT-Ford driver, finishing 15th and earning the final point after executing impressive overtakes early in the race. BMW`s Rene Rast faced a disappointing setback, retiring early due to engine power loss, which hampered his performance on the straights.

In a surprising twist, Ferrari`s Ben Green, who was fastest in qualifying, was disqualified for being underweight and had to start from the back of the grid. Despite this, he managed to climb to 18th place by the race`s conclusion.

In the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), Dan Cammish of NAPA Racing UK secured pole position for Round 1 of the 2025 Kwik Fit BTCC, signaling a promising start to his campaign. Meanwhile, in karting, Alfie Mair leads the Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy standings, with notable performances from Sean Butcher and Cameron Nelson. The Pre-finals and Finals are set for April 27, with live streaming available on multiple platforms, ensuring fans won`t miss the thrilling action.
