F1 pre-season testing begins in Bahrain with Mercedes unveiling the W16 and Red Bull`s RB21.

Pre-season testing for the 2025 Formula 1 season is set to commence in Bahrain from February 26-28. Teams are eager to showcase their new machines, with Mercedes officially launching the W16 during a filming day in Bahrain. This season marks a significant transition for Mercedes as they welcome 18-year-old Italian rookie Andrea Kimi Antonelli, who will partner with George Russell following the departure of Lewis Hamilton. The team aims to improve on their fourth-place finish in the 2024 constructors` championship, where they secured four wins.

Red Bull Racing has also revealed their new RB21, touted as an evolution of their previous dominant models. Max Verstappen will pilot the RB21 in pursuit of his fifth consecutive world title, while Liam Lawson steps in to replace Sergio Pérez in the lineup. Red Bull finished third in the 2024 constructors` championship and is determined to reclaim their former glory.

F1 testing will feature eight-hour days split into morning and afternoon sessions, with notable participants including Antonelli for Mercedes, Lawson for Red Bull, and Ollie Bearman for Haas. The excitement builds as the first race of the season is scheduled for March 16 in Australia. Meanwhile, in NASCAR, the Cup Series season is heating up with Chevrolet and Toyota tied at the top of the manufacturer standings.
