MLS Considers Calendar Change

The Major League Soccer (MLS) is contemplating aligning its schedule with European football, according to commissioner Don Garber. Speaking during the championship final, he noted that while the change is being considered more than ever, it comes with complications. The current MLS calendar runs from February to December, causing recruitment challenges and conflicts during international competitions. With over 20 meetings held, the organization is also exploring a division system similar to the NFL.
