Rutgers Advances in Big Ten with Kurdyla`s Stellar Play

Rutgers men`s lacrosse defeats Michigan in the Big Ten Quarterfinals, led by Kurdyla`s four goals and two assists.

Rutgers men`s lacrosse showcased a commanding performance against No. 13 Michigan, securing an 11-8 victory in the Big Ten Tournament Quarterfinals. Colin Kurdyla emerged as a standout player, netting four goals and providing two assists, leading his team to a crucial win. Joe Juengerkes contributed significantly with three caused turnovers and seven ground balls, while Matthew Paollatto excelled at the faceoff, winning 12 out of 22 attempts. This victory propels Rutgers into the semifinals, where they will face Ohio State on May 1.

In NCAA women`s lacrosse, Brown faced off against Penn, where Gracie Smith scored her 17th goal of the season, and Leah Caputo added her 27th goal during a man-up situation in the fourth quarter. However, the overall team scores for this matchup remain unspecified. Meanwhile, Lindenwood women`s lacrosse concluded their ASUN regular-season campaign with an 18-7 loss to Queens, finishing the season with a record of 10-5 and 3-3 in conference play.

Flagler`s men’s lacrosse team saw Tyler Douglass shine with five goals against Lander, while teammates Levi Roest and Carter Wilcox each contributed two goals. In another matchup, Missouri State faced Tulane, but Camden Slade and John Brunner did not record any goals or assists.
