
In a thrilling overtime clash, the Maritime College men`s lacrosse team narrowly defeated Farmingdale 12-11. Nicholas Uzakewicz played a pivotal role, scoring a late equalizer and assisting Connor Tomich`s game-winning goal in overtime. The Privateers improved their record to 7-7 overall and 5-1 in Skyline Conference play, while Farmingdale`s record now stands at 13-3 and 5-1 in the same conference.
UMBC clinched at least a co-regular-season title in the America East Conference with a commanding 19-11 win over NJIT. Senior midfielder Jordan Galloway shone with six points, while junior attackman Connor Chick recorded his fifth hat-trick of the season. Junior goalie Connor McMahon contributed with 11 saves. UMBC is set to face Holy Cross on April 24, with the potential to become outright champions depending on Bryant`s next game result.
In MCLA Division II, UC San Diego fell to No. 3 after a loss to Cal State San Marcos, while Georgia Tech rose to fourth in the Division I poll after winning the SELC crown.
