Two figures from the horse racing world are being prosecuted in Italy for "fraud" over the suspected illegal sale of semen from the legendary trotter Varenne, according to a lawyer for one of the accused. Walter Ferrero, head of the Varenne Forever company responsible for the stallion's breeding, and Roberto Brischetto, manager of the stud farm where Varenne is enjoying a peaceful retirement near Turin, are accused of selling these samples to breeders without informing the horse's owners. The Turin prosecutor's office has completed its investigation, and a judge must now decide whether to send the two men to trial. #turin,#varenne
