Santa Anita Park Set for LA28 Olympic Equestrian Events

Santa Anita Park will host the equestrian events for the LA28 Olympics, showcasing world-class competition and facilities.

Santa Anita Park has officially been confirmed as the venue for the equestrian events of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. FEI President Ingmar De Vos expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Santa Anita Park will be a spectacular venue for the LA28 Olympic equestrian events.” This historic racetrack, renowned for hosting major Thoroughbred events such as the Breeders Cup, is poised to showcase the elegance and athleticism of equestrian sports on a global stage.

Spanning 320 acres, Santa Anita features a grandstand that accommodates 26,000 spectators, while the lush infield can host up to 50,000 fans. With state-of-the-art facilities, including an on-course veterinary clinic and 61 barns capable of housing over 2,000 horses, the venue is well-equipped to handle the demands of Olympic competition. The LA28 Games are set to take place from July 14-30, 2028, followed by the Paralympics from August 15-27, 2028.

In addition to the Olympic events, Santa Anita Park continues to be a hub for equestrian excellence, hosting prestigious competitions like the CSI3 and the FEI Jumping World Cup Qualifier CSI5-W. The excitement surrounding these upcoming events promises to elevate the profile of equestrian sports in the United States and beyond.
