Eckroat wins PGA title as Lowry & Skinns fall away

Austin Eckroat won his first PGA Tour title on Monday at the rain-delayed Cognizant Classic, holding off the pursuing pack that included Ireland's Shane Lowry and England's David Skinns.

The 25-year-old American was 15 under after seven holes on Sunday when play was halted at the Florida course.

On Monday, Eckroat finished 17 under with three birdies and a bogey to win his 50th PGA Tour start.
