Oklahoma State`s Eric Lee leads the Cowboys to a thrilling 12th NCAA Golf Championship victory, defeating Virginia 4-1.

The Oklahoma State men`s golf team has etched its name in history once again by clinching the 2025 NCAA Division I men’s golf championship. In a thrilling showdown at La Costa, the No. 4 ranked Cowboys triumphed over No. 7 Virginia with a decisive 4-1 victory, marking their 12th national title and their first since 2018.

Sophomore Eric Lee emerged as the hero of the day, sealing the championship point with a 2-up win against Josh Duangmanee. Lee`s pivotal performance was highlighted by a stunning 25-foot birdie putt on the par-4 17th hole, which shifted the momentum firmly in Oklahoma State`s favor. He capped off the victory with a conceded birdie on the par-5 18th after Duangmanee faltered with a missed 15-foot attempt.

The Cowboys showcased their dominance throughout the tournament, defeating Bedlam rival Oklahoma in the quarterfinals and overcoming Mississippi in the semifinals, where Lee`s clutch 6-foot par putt on the 19th hole was instrumental. Other key contributors included freshman Filip Fahlberg-Johnsson, Gaven Lane, and Ethan Fang, all of whom secured wins in their respective matches.
