Florida State entered the tournament as the second seed, while Wake Forest was seeded fourth, setting the stage for an exciting showdown.

In men`s collegiate golf, the Boilermaker Invitational took place at Purdue University`s Ackerman-Allen Golf Course, a challenging par-71 course measuring 7,275 yards. The tournament featured an impressive 18-team field, including notable institutions such as DePaul University, Ball State, and Notre Dame. DePaul`s lineup included standout players like Dominic Lucchesi and Pablo Riveiro.

Ball State Cardinals utilized this event as a crucial preparation for the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Championships. The team, led by senior Ali Khan, who has been on fire this spring, also featured veterans like Braxton Kuntz and Kash Bellar, alongside junior Carter Smith and sophomore Avery Mahoney. The tournament format consisted of two rounds of 18 holes on Saturday, followed by a final round on Sunday, contingent on weather conditions.
