Melbourne City continued their impressive run in the A-League Women 2024-25 season, securing a 2-0 victory over Newcastle Jets. Rebekah Stott`s crucial defensive clearance before half-time set the tone for the match, while Laura Hughes broke the Jets` resistance with a stunning goal from the edge of the box. Holly McNamara capped off the performance with her seventh goal of the season, keeping Melbourne City seven points clear at the top of the table with 36 points from 16 games.
