Late VAR Drama Denies Dino Club Victory Against Be

Dino Sporting Club was held to a controversial draw by Beyond Limits on matchday eight of the TCC League on Saturday.

Coming into the game, Dino Sporting was eager to end a four-game winless streak. Despite struggling since the start of October with just one win in their last six matches, the team displayed a revitalized performance against the league leaders in Ikenne.

Godwin Gibson's side dominated proceedings and deservedly took the lead just before halftime. They maintained their advantage throughout the second half and were seconds away from a hard-fought victory when the referee handed the hosts a lifeline by awarding a penalty in the 97th minute.

The penalty decision came after claims that a Dino Sporting defender handled the ball in the box. The referees controversially consulted an unauthorized VAR before making their call, sparking protests from the visiting team.
