Van Dijk heads back to Liverpool for rest

Put on hold The Dutch FA said on Saturday that Virgil van Dijk, the captain of the Netherlands, will not be traveling with the team to Germany for Monday's Nations League match because he chose to take more time off in order to prepare for a hectic time with Liverpool.
Van Dijk will not play in the upcoming Nations League match after being sent off during Friday's 1-1 draw with Hungary.
At first, the 33-year-old stated that he wanted to remain with the team to help his colleagues in spite of the punishment.
