No public cash going to Man Utd stadium plan

The Greater Manchester mayor has stated that public funds would not be used for Manchester United's current renovation plans at Old Trafford.
The stadium will be redeveloped alongside a "mixed use" neighborhood that will include apartment buildings, retail establishments, and new public transportation hubs, according to plans unveiled by Andy Burnham.
The owners of the team are presently debating whether to refurbish the current stadium or pursue a £2 billion plan for a brand-new stadium with 100,000 seats.
