Coach Domenico Tedesco of Belgium stated on Friday that Kevin De Bruyne was added to the team for the Nations League fixtures the following week, although Romelu Lukaku was left off after requesting time off to focus on recovering from his move to Napoli.

The 33-year-old De Bruyne, who had grumbled about a potentially taxing season with numerous obligations ahead for both his club Manchester City and the Belgian team, has been the subject of much conjecture regarding his future on the international front.
