'Pure anger' from Motherwell boss

Even though Motherwell only needed a point to advance to the Premier Sports Cup round of 16, manager Stuart Kettlewell acknowledged that he was filled with "pure anger" with his team's performance in the draw against Partick Thistle.

Thistle's youthful goalkeeper Mason McCready shone both throughout regulation play and during the penalty shootout, when the Championship visitors secured the extra point that proved insufficient to prevent Well from taking first place in Group G.
