According to sources, French club Bordeaux will shut down all of its activities after failing to emerge from its financial difficulties.

According to reports, the club notified the French Football Federation that it was giving up its 1937 professional status. Every player's contract has been terminated, and the training facility will close.

Bordeaux was officially demoted to the third division of French football on Tuesday following the withdrawal of takeover negotiations by Fenway Sports Group (FSG), the owner of Liverpool.
