Palestinian football team plans to play World Cup

The Palestinian football team is keen to host a match for the first time after making history in World Cup qualifying.

With the backing of several of its rivals, the football association has suggested holding matches in the Israeli-occupied West Bank during the third phase of its Asian qualifying campaign. The first match is scheduled to take place on September 10 against Jordan.
