Sinkhole Swallows Football Field in Illinois

A 9-meter deep sinkhole suddenly opened up in the middle of a football complex in Alton, Illinois, U.S. on Wednesday. Fortunately, the field was unoccupied at the time, and no injuries were reported. According to officials, the collapse was caused by an active mine underneath. All events at the complex have been canceled until further notice.
