New ACL research to be carried out with WSL clubs

The Women's Super League is starting a new three-year study on the prevention of anterior cruciate ligament injuries.

The research is being funded by a partnership between Leeds Beckett University, Fifpro, Nike, and the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA).

It will concentrate on environmental elements that raise female football players' risk of ACL injury.
