Kepa Arrizabalaga's future uncertain

The Spanish international replaced Thibaut Courtois in an emergency after the Belgian sustained a serious knee injury in August. Courtois was on loan from Chelsea. However, Kepa has found himself competing with Andriy Lunin for the starting position in Madrid following an injury of his own.

Despite Kepa's return to fitness following a string of confident performances, Lunin was favored; however, head coach Carlo Ancelotti started Kepa for the final two games of the season and said he hasn't decided who will start as the starting lineup when play resumes.
