Fagundez Shines in Galaxy-Dynamo 1-1 Draw

Fagundez`s free-kick goal helped LA Galaxy secure a 1-1 draw against Houston Dynamo, marking his historic 400th MLS appearance.

LA Galaxy faced off against Houston Dynamo FC in an exciting match that ended in a 1-1 draw on April 12, 2025. The Dynamo struck first with a goal from Ezequil Ponce in the 14th minute, thanks to an assist from Amine Bassi. However, the Galaxy responded in the second half, equalizing with a stunning direct free-kick goal by Diego Fagundez in the 57th minute.

This match was particularly significant for Fagundez, who made history by becoming the youngest player in MLS history to reach 400 regular-season appearances at just 30 years and 57 days, surpassing Darlington Nagbe`s previous record. Additionally, he recorded his 150th career MLS goal contribution, making him the 16th player to achieve this impressive milestone.
