After a perfect start to the season in the league (17 victories in as many matches played), Peter Bosz's team was held for the first time this season in Utrecht (1-1). Peter Bosz's team equaled, last weekend against Excelsior Rotterdam, the record held by Guus Hiddink's team during the 1987-88 season for the number of consecutive victories won by PSV Eindhoven in the league. 36 years later, PSV had already won the first 17 matches of the championship.
