British Cyclocross Team Triumphs at World Championships

The British Cyclocross team excelled at the World Championships, with notable performances from Zoe Backstedt and others.

Zoe Backstedt and her teammates made history at the UCI Cyclocross World Championships, clinching the World CX Champions title in the Relay race. The British team showcased their dominance, with standout performances from Milo Wills, Zoe Roche, Oscar Amey, and Cat Ferguson, solidifying their status on the global stage.

The 2025 British CycloCross Championships at Kent`s Cyclopark saw fierce competition, with champions crowned across two thrilling days. Kate Eedy and Lewis Craven emerged victorious on the first day, while Cameron Mason, Xan Crees, Oscar Amey, and Zoe Roche took the spotlight on the second day, demonstrating the depth of talent in British cyclocross.

In domestic racing, the Odd Down Winter Series Round 1 highlighted the skills of Jack Baldie and Joseph Sykes, who claimed top honors. Meanwhile, the Chilly City Crits Round 2 saw Billy Kee and Greta Wilkinson secure impressive victories, adding excitement to the winter racing calendar.

On the professional circuit, Caleb Ewan has signed a one-year deal with Ineos Grenadiers for the 2025 season, while Tom Pidcock is gearing up for the Ardennes Classics with Team Q36.5, following their wild card invitations. Lucinda Brand extended her remarkable streak of consecutive cyclocross podiums to 32, while Wout van Aert built momentum for the road season with a World Cup win in Dendermonde. Mathieu van der Poel has set his sights on becoming the MTB world champion in 2025.

The Tour Down Under also delivered thrilling action, with Sam Welsford winning a stage and Jayco-AlUla facing challenges in the general classification battle. Puck Pieterse concluded her cyclocross season with a Worlds bronze and is now focused on the upcoming Spring Classics.
