Graham Hollinger had previously made headlines by winning the National VTTA 10 Mile Championship on April 20, where Deb Hutson-Lumb claimed the women`s title. Additionally, the Kildale Hill Climb on April 19 saw youth rider Ezra Bateman and Lucy Home emerge victorious in their categories.
