Dens and Nelson Shine at De Brabantse Pijl 2025

Dens and Nelson excelled at De Brabantse Pijl 2025, showcasing thrilling performances in both men`s and women`s races.

The De Brabantse Pijl 2025 showcased thrilling performances from both men’s and women’s races. In the men’s event, a breakaway group of six riders, including Tuur Dens from Team Flanders - Baloise and Jens Reynders of Wagner Bazin WB, established an early lead. EF Education-EasyPost set a blistering pace, particularly on the challenging cobbled Hertstraat climb, while top teams like Soudal-QuickStep and Q36.5 kept the peloton tightly controlled. Notable riders such as Remco Evenepoel and Wout van Aert were active in marking moves, despite van Aert experiencing a mechanical issue.

The women’s race saw the Italian champion make a triumphant return, with British rider Josie Nelson bridging the gap to the leaders. The peloton was led by teams like Uno-X Mobility and Movistar, with several attacks from riders including Lore De Schepper and Ricarda Bauernfeind. The race featured sharp climbs like the Beerselberg, maintaining an impressive average speed of 40 kph. Crashes and mechanicals impacted several competitors, including bike changes for Eva van Agt and Anna van der Breggen.

In UK domestic cycling, James Chapman and Adam Russell secured victories in their respective races, while upcoming events like the CiCLE Classic promise more excitement for fans.
