Alice McWilliam Triumphs at East Cleveland Classic

Alice McWilliam wins the East Cleveland Classic, while Mathieu van der Poel secures his third Paris-Roubaix victory.

Alice McWilliam of the Hess Cycling Team showcased her exceptional talent by clinching victory in the women`s race at the 2025 Community Traffic Management Ltd East Cleveland Classic. Her powerful sprint up the challenging Saltburn Bank secured her win, following a series of impressive performances in the National Road Series and a top-five finish in Europe.

In the men`s open category, Adam Howell from MUC-OFF-SRCT-STORCK celebrated his first National Road Series win, narrowly outpacing George Kimber of the Spirit Racing Team in a thrilling finale. The race featured a demanding course along the picturesque Yorkshire coast, culminating in the steep ascent of Saltburn Bank, which tested the riders` endurance and strategy.

On the international stage, Mathieu van der Poel continued to dominate, achieving his third consecutive victory at Paris-Roubaix. He outperformed Tadej Pogačar in a nail-biting finish, while early crashes and mechanical issues affected several top contenders, including Wout van Aert and Filippo Ganna. British teenager Matthew Brennan made a notable debut, impressing fans despite running out of energy in the final stages. Biniam Girmay also had a strong showing, finishing 15th and handling the challenging cobblestones with remarkable skill.
